The Estate is very accessible as the A1 trunk road lies only 5 miles to the east. Berwick upon Tweed has the nearest mainline railway station with Newcastle airport (65 miles) and Edinburgh airport (55 miles) providing domestic and international flights.
From the A1 (Berwick by-pass)
Take the B6461 west and after 2 miles turn right onto the B6460 to Greenlaw. After a mile turn right towards Hutton; continue through the village past the church and the hall to the end of the tarmacadamed road where a track leads down to Hutton Castle Mill.
From the West
Leave the A697 at Greenlaw onto the B6460 (signposted Berwick upon Tweed) after 11 miles turn left where signed to Hutton. Again continue through the village past the church and hall to Hutton Castle Mill.
